Ok, I hate writing negative posts, but this is just ridiculous. Tesasteamails is known as a “really good” PTR (paid to read e-mail site). One that actually pays, etc. So I signed up for them, hoping at least to redeem for ads (as you have to do with most of these sites, because many don’t pay). So I’ve been clicking along, and then I notice I didn’t get any e-mails for several days. So I go into my account and all my user information is changed. I change it back, but I send an e-mail just to make sure why, thinking maybe it has to do with my IP address changing frequently (what with all my travelling). After several e-mails trying to fix this, I get suspended and ask them why, and they finally know who I am (tried to tell me my e-mail was bouncing messages, a load of crap) and say EXPLAIN THIS: Sign-up Germany, Address United States, last IP Canada. Duh…I told the person (or e-mail address, there was no name. Wonder where they are! hmm…) that I was traveling in Germany, and am most recently in Canada, but I’m traveling back and forth quite a bit. I was given quite a hassle, told that I had to change my address (like to the hotel I’m staying at …bull crap! I often move around quite a bit, and I can’t see myself changing that every few weeks or days to keep a crappy PTR account), or maybe this program isn’t for me. I told them to just keep the 20 cents or whatever is in the account, and that I understand that it’s hard for them to keep the site safe from cheaters, etc. but I’m not a cheater. I wanted to advertise my referral link, etc. It’s just silly to have all this fuss over a dollar or less in my account.

I just got this e-mail back:

“Sorry that following rules meant to protect the advertisers and site are too much for you. As always, the innocent are forced to suffer along with the scammers who feel rules don’t apply to them.. Your account is gone. Best of luck with the sites that you defraud the advertisers from. Until they catch you, too.” (emphasis mine)

This just ticks me off to no end. I’m not defrauding anyone and I don’t like anyone calling me a cheater, scammer, or defrauder. The real scam is TesasTeaMails.

So, for all of you out there thinking of travelling and using PTRs, especially TesasTeaMails, don’t do it! They’ll shut your account off and insult you to boot.
Ok, I’ve said my piece, and I feel much better now. On to more fun, more profitable things.
