kat's right forget about the canned and go for the frozen if not fresh
canned ones are really mushy unless you're making chili or soup
you can add them to fried rice or like i said CHILI!! mmm
you can add them to omelette too!!! or just add them and some bacon bits to scramble eggs
oh add them to your bolongese or alfredo sauce too

Personally, I say forget the can and go fresh or frozen....

Rinse them really well. Saute some onion and garlic in butter until they are soft. Toss in some slice almonds and add the green beans. Cook until just heated through. Enjoy!

They're great sauteed with some fresh garlic, diced, or almonds. Adding bacon is a good idea, too. You could make the bacon, drain the grease off and use it to sautee the beans. Then crumble the bacon and mix it in.

Sprinkle them with a little garlic powder before heating them up, and then squeeze a couple tablespoons of fresh lemon juice after heated and drained. This goes very well with fish or chicken dishes, but if you're making beef or pork, I'd probably go with the recipes that add bacon.

I keep canned green beans on hand for when I can't get to the store, but it is true that fresh, or those long thin frozen green beans are so much better. They don't take as long to cook as you might think either!

You should really turn to "fresh" green beans!
Generally, vegetables that are fresh are more nutritious than their frozen or canned.

But if all you have is "canned" green beans
Then lets work with that !

Heres a video clip with helpful tips
http://youtube.com/watch?v=oWEWH4ge61g

I would add some bacon bits to my canned beans
Also, some sauted garlic chips would be very tasty too!

I hope that helps!
Good luck!
