10 Things I Miss About Arkansas

1. Stores being open 24/7 so I can miss the rush and go out at 2 AM to buy groceries and go Christmas shopping

2. Cheetos – France has a peanut version and some decent cheese puff things but nothing like Cheetos puffs.

3. Cheap peanut butter!  There are walls and walls of Nutella, chestnut spread, and even Spekuloos.  And one pitiful row of peanut butter in a small jar for over 2 Euros.  Where I come from, peanut butter is poor people food, and great for making no bake cookies!

4. Country music on the radio.  I listen to shoutcast sometimes, but it’s not the same, and sometimes I forget.  I do like the French music, though.

5. Fast food – Taco Bell, Sonic, Waffle House, Burger King, Wendy’s, Arby’s, and so on.  We’re in the boonies here, no fast food even if I could afford it (although I did see a McDonald’s sign today in town.  For a mustard sandwich?  Maybe my translation was off).

6. I-40.  Driving 70 (or a bit more) down the Interstate w/my music on, and the windows down.

7. Knowing every 2nd person at Wal-mart.

8.  Free Shipping

9. Catfish, and catfishing.

10. Garage sales and taking cheap English books for granted.
