20 Things To Do To Avoid Writing On Your Blog – Life’s Little Distractions
By Leighann on Nov 5, 2009 in Blogging, Life
I haven’t really got writer’s block. I just can’t narrow down something to say. And I’m procrastinating.
1. Check your friend stats on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, etc.
2. Check to see if you got any comments in the last 10 minutes on aforementioned social networking sites.
3. Check to see if you have any new comments on your blog.
4. Make a grocery list
5. Wash your hair.
6. Look at a really cute picture of my former best friend from high school’s cousin’s brother’s wife’s kids.
7. Click through the comment that you just got on your blog (finally) and spend 15 minutes browsing their website and not leaving any comments.
8. Read a book
9. Play online games
10. Write a list of things you SHOULD blog about.
11. Make tea.
12. Try to figure out how to have an ask.com profile in English when I’m living in France and my IP address is French.
13. Take a typing test to see how fast you COULD type if you had something to write about.
14. Check Twitter again. Click on two links and spend 20 minutes on each getting “inspired”. But write nothing.
15. Complain to your husband.
16. Get OCD and sweep all the bits of bark and ash away from the floor in front of the woodstove for the 50th time today.
17. Tap your foot in annoyance.
18. Look for recipes for lunch tomorrow.
19. Have the tea that you put aside to cool, grumbling that it’s gone cold.
20. Come up with great reasons to procrastinate… and blog about them!
Do you have a blog? Please share, I need some “inspiration”.

I Love this, It rings so true for me! Especially checking the social networking sites, and popping over to friends blogs to read what they have to say!! Thanks Leighann
