I’m not going to get too crazy personal, but this was kind of fun.  28 random things for the 28 years I’ve been alive.  Any of these surprise you?

1. I once had a gerbil named Peter Harold.
2. I love to eat Cheetos dipped in organic yogurt.
3. I’m an only child.
4. I’ve worked at Taco Bell, McDonald’s, and Wal-mart.  I’ve also been a telemarketer and sold insurance.
5. When I was 18, I eloped.  We spent our honeymoon in London.  Ahem.  London, Arkansas, USA.
6. When I was a kid, I once went to Paris, London, Dublin and Augsburg in one day.  I would have gone to Rome, but that’s in Georgia, and I was just in Arkansas.
7. Most of my life I have lived in small towns with less than 1,000 people.
8. I do a lot of my cooking and all my baking on a wood-burning cookstove at the moment.  And I love it!
9. I am NOT a fan of chocolate.  Ew.  But I do like chocolate (sometimes) in cake, cookies, etc.
10. I met my husband through the Internet
11. My favorite cartoons as a kid were Punky Brewster, He-Man, Smurfs and ThunderCats.
12. I had my son on St. Patrick’s day
13. I never learned how to ride a bike.
14. I used to dance ballet and oil paint.  But not at the same time.
15. I was a band geek – French horn
16. I start most days with a cup of hot tea with milk and 2 sugars.
17. My husband cuts my hair.  And does a good job!
18. When I got married, the only thing I could cook was scrambled eggs and toast!  My hubby taught me to cook, with the help of some good cookbooks.
19. I went to Christian school until 4th grade.
20. I once took a 3-day trip in a Greyhound bus across Canada.
21. As of this writing, I have been married almost 10 years.
22. I dropped out of college after my first semester, when I got pregnant.  I was a piano music major.
23. Piano was not the major for me. I hate to practice!
24. I used to play piano in 3 different churches each week.
25. When I’m not cooking or working on my blog, I’m most likely reading a great book.
26. I hid under the couch when I was 6 and watched “Santa Claus” wrap my presents.
27. I hate washing dishes.
28. While writing this, I listened to Lady Gaga, Norah Jones, Keb Mo and The Corries.
