This is one of the Belizean fast food snacks, found on every corner in every town, 2 or 3 “fu dollah”. The other snacks are salbutes and panades. Garnaches are the easiest to make.

Kitchen Tip #1 – time-saving onionsTo make onions easy to deal with (and take advantage of sales, especially on specialty onions like vidalias), chop several onions at once, then freeze for later use. Do the same with carrots, broccoli, and other like veggies.
